Budget coach

The Council for Refugees is looking for budget coaches. Budgetcoach helps clients develop financial skills such as orderly home administration, dealing with digital payment transactions and learning to think ahead/plan expenditure patterns. As a budget coach you offer guidance to refugees, one-on-one or in groups. Together you make an inventory of what the learning wishes are. Initially, the volunteer budget coach and the refugee do a lot together, but eventually the refugee takes over the activities step by step. To support the budget coaches, Nibud has developed a workbook specifically aimed at refugees, on which the budget coaches can work. The Council for Refugees offers the budget coach training to learn to work with this material. Interested? Send a message. If you have any questions, please contact us via message.

Do you help others create a good CV?

MeerWaarde Welzijn

What are you going to do? Participants in our training courses have followed a short CV making training course through the municipality, but sometimes they can still use some help. They don't have a CV, it is no longer up to date or could use some creativity. These participants end up at the Participation Point of MeerWaarde to put the finishing touches together with you! Are you handy with the computer? Are you kind and patient? Do you have experience with Microsoft Word and/or Canva or another program for creating a CV? Are you available for half a day every other week? Then come support our team! We will provide you with thorough training in advance. You do useful and practical work, you receive appreciation from our organization and your efforts also look good on your own CV! Would you like more information or to get acquainted? Send me a message quickly!

Taking clients home on foot

Ons Tweede Thuis dagcentrum Floriande

From April to October we are looking for one or more volunteers who want to support us in bringing a nice group (about 10) clients home. These clients live about a 20-minute walk from the day center. The group is too large to take home alone, so every day we look for a volunteer in addition to a supervisor from our day center who also likes to walk with us, push a client in a wheelchair and who at the same time wants to have a nice chat with the clients. Time: between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM Frequency: 1 or more days per week (Monday to Friday) Would you like to help? Then send me a message.

Do you give newcomers a warm welcome?

MeerWaarde Welzijn

Imagine you arrive in a foreign country because you have fled the regime, war or poverty. How nice would it be if you were welcomed by people who know the country well? Would you like to extend a warm welcome to newcomers here? Then we are looking for you! We are looking for volunteers for our Z-route project. The Z route is part of the new integration law and the Z stands for self-reliance. But you cannot expect someone to be completely self-reliant straight away in a foreign country. These newcomers must be sufficiently self-reliant within three years. They do this through participation projects organized by volunteers, under the coordination of Meerwaarde. Do you want newcomers: - Show the neighborhood? Markets, the library, the center, the community center, etc. - Give a workshop on Dutch history, cooking, first aid, art and culture, work and income, finances, etc. - Help with the Dutch language (for example reading official mail, etc.) - Or if you get your own ideas when you read this call... all kinds of participation projects are possible and very welcome, so come forward with your idea!
