Budget coach

VluchtelingenWerk is looking for budget coaches. Budget coach helps clients develop financial skills such as orderly home administration, dealing with digital payment transactions and learning to think ahead/plan in spending patterns. As a budget coach, you offer guidance to refugees, one-on-one or in groups. Together you inventory what the learning needs are. Initially, the volunteer budget coach and the refugee do a lot together, but eventually the refugee takes over the activities step by step. To support the budget coaches, the Nibud has developed a workbook specifically aimed at refugees, which the budget coaches can use. To learn how to work with this material, VluchtelingenWerk offers the budget coach a training. Interested? Send a message. For questions you can contact us via a message.

As a language buddy (coach) you help a non-Dutch speaking resident of Haarlemmermeer to learn to speak Dutch. These are often refugees, but also non-Dutch speaking newcomers. You meet once a week for about one to two hours to practice. The language coach and his or her language buddy determine their own goals and activities. Usually you just start at home at the kitchen table, or in the library, talking about everyday topics. As a language coach you are not a teacher but someone with whom the Dutch language is spoken a lot. Are you good at language, are you interested in other cultures and do you have a bit of patience? Send me a message and sign up as a language coach!

Imagine you arrive in a foreign country because you have fled the regime, war or poverty. How nice would it be if you were welcomed by people who know the country well? Would you like to extend a warm welcome to newcomers here? Then we are looking for you! We are looking for volunteers for our Z-route project. The Z route is part of the new integration law and the Z stands for self-reliance. But you cannot expect someone to be completely self-reliant straight away in a foreign country. These newcomers must be sufficiently self-reliant within three years. They do this through participation projects organized by volunteers, under the coordination of Meerwaarde. Do you want newcomers: - Show the neighborhood? Markets, the library, the center, the community center, etc. - Give a workshop on Dutch history, cooking, first aid, art and culture, work and income, finances, etc. - Help with the Dutch language (for example reading official mail, etc.) - Or if you get your own ideas when you read this call... all kinds of participation projects are possible and very welcome, so come forward with your idea!
