Would you like to help us match participants and volunteers for our department? Then we are looking for you! What will you do? - You will conduct interviews with participants and volunteers from Nieuw-Vennep/Abenes, establish a match and provide aftercare. - You will process the data in our registration system and ensure that it is up-to-date. - You will conduct intake interviews with participants of the regional holiday week. - You will join four board and four volunteer meetings per year and help think about policy and implementation. - You will perform the work together with another colleague, she will introduce you and later you will divide the work among yourselves. You have/are: - Affinity with less mobile (older) people and care about them. - Knowledge of people and are socially minded. - Creative and thinks in solutions. Are you an energetic organizational talent and do you like to go out with younger people who are less mobile? Then we are looking for you! What will you do? - You have a lot of fun with the participants! - You organize fun activities/trips with a small team for younger people (18-60 years old) who are less mobile. - You are available for about two hours per month on average to prepare the outings. - You provide guidance during the activity and help push a wheelchair if necessary. - Occasionally you may help as a driver (if you have a driver's license/car). You: - Enjoy hanging out with people of your own age (18-50 years old). - Think organizing outings is great. - Are social and make others happy. - Are creative and think in solutions. Stoomgemaal Halfweg is looking for people who help us with: reception and counter activities during shooting days, organizing and supervising activities with children, maintenance of the installation as well as stokers and machinists. In 2023 the steam engine will be 100 years old and this machine will still run every 1st weekend of the month! We are looking for volunteers with a technical background to maintain the installations. Maintenance is usually carried out on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9:30 am to approx. 4:00 pm.

Description of the work Within the Meerwende, residents live who have little or no social contact or go outside. But they do need it. We are therefore looking for volunteers who would like to do something with this resident. For example, think of drinking coffee together, walking, doing the shopping, chatting or many other activities. If you still have time left, we would like to welcome you! Working hours In consultation. This depends on the wishes of our resident and of course on your possibilities. We ask You do not need to have a specific education. Some life experience is expected, as well as an open attitude and affinity with the target group. We ask for a motivated attitude, showing involvement and being representative. Furthermore, a sense of humor and a practical attitude are highly appreciated. Skills • Oral communication skills / being able to express yourself clearly in the Dutch language. • Being able to deal flexibly with unexpected situations. • Being patient and being a good listener. • Having an affinity with the elderly.
