Computer teacher (m/f)

Who are we looking for: Volunteers with reasonable knowledge of one or more of the three operating systems Windows, Android or iOS. This does not have to be advanced knowledge. Broad basic knowledge is sufficient. He/she can commit to us for one or more lessons or drop-ins per week (of approximately 1.5 hours), with the exception of the summer and Christmas holidays (June/July/Aug respectively mid-December-mid-January). In addition, patience with the elderly is an important quality so that lessons can be taught in a calm manner, at a speed adapted to the needs of the participants. Technical knowledge of computers is not required. Activities: Seniors learn to use Windows 10 and 11, Android or iOS. The aim is to familiarize seniors with the internet, e-mail, apps, computer safety and social media. Classroom teaching using teaching materials with a fellow volunteer to a maximum of 6 participants or during drop-in (seniors come in with their specific questions). You will be trained by an experienced volunteer and any teaching materials will be made available by SICH. Teaching and explaining is done at a very leisurely pace and the social aspect is very important at SICH, coffee and a chat. The courses are given during the day. We are: A foundation of volunteers, which aims to familiarize seniors living in Haarlemmermeer with the digital world. We are housed in the Bornholm, Meerstede and Floriande care centers in Hoofddorp. SICH is affiliated with SeniorWeb.
